Winning the Game of Window Cleaning

With the Super Bowl now behind us, let’s have a little fun and compare American football to the world of window cleaning. Both require teamwork, planning, and a solid strategy to win. Here’s how we break it down:

The Team Owner: Josh Thompson

Just like in football, the team owner plays a vital role in overseeing the organization and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Josh Thompson is the backbone of Thompson Exterior Services, leading the company toward success.

Front Office Management

Special teams in football handle unique tasks like kickoffs and field goals. In window cleaning, our office team is the special team. They are the experts working behind the scenes—handling business development, marketing, and human resources. Charlie, Rachel, Daniela, Joe, Lucas, and John ensure that the whole operation runs smoothly, supporting the cleaning crew and keeping everything aligned with our company goals.

Head Coach

A football head coach is an experienced leader who builds team culture and holds players accountable. Jessie Pinckney is our head coach. He embodies this role by keeping the team focused, motivated, and driven toward success.

Offensive Coordinator

In football, the offensive coordinator strategizes to advance the team and move the ball forward. At Thompson, Gilbert plays this role by developing strategies that push the company forward and ensuring operations run efficiently.

Defensive Coordinator

Football’s defense prevents the opposing team from scoring. In window cleaning, our defense is all about safety. Safety is our top priority, and Ian is the specialist who ensures that all safety measures are in place and that our crew works in a secure environment.

The Quarterbacks

In football, the quarterback leads the team, makes critical decisions, and calls plays. In our company, our crew leads—Aaron, Alis, and Jorge—take on this role by directing the team on-site and ensuring efficiency and precision in every project.

Key Players: Our Technician Crew

Football teams rely on their key players to execute plays and drive the game forward. Our technicians are the heart of our operation, working diligently to clean windows and tackle any challenges that arise.

Special Teams

Jim, Laura, Daniel, and James are our special team, handling unique tasks and adapting to different situations. They bring versatility and multiple skill sets to the table, adjusting to various environments and ensuring every job is executed with excellence.

The End Zone: A Job Well Done

In football, the goal is to reach the end zone and score. In window cleaning, our end zone is the finished project—clean windows and happy clients. Every step we take, from planning to cleaning, gets us closer to that final touchdown.

The Game Plan: Working Together

In both football and window cleaning, success depends on teamwork. Every person on the team has a role to play. When everyone works together and follows the plan, we can tackle any challenge and finish strong.

Just like a football team, success isn’t about one person—it’s about the entire team working together to get the job done right.
